EcomAudio (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates as a Shopify application and a WordPress plugin connected to our hosted service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use EcomAudio.
1. Information We Collect
From merchants who install EcomAudio, we collect: your store domain, app settings and preferences, and audio files (MP3 or MP4) you upload or generate using our Text-to-Speech feature.
If you create an account on our website, we also store your email address and a securely hashed password.
We do not collect any personal data from your customers (storefront visitors). When a visitor plays audio, an anonymous play event (page type and product ID only — no personal or identifying information, no cookies) is recorded so merchants can see engagement statistics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use merchant data solely to operate and improve EcomAudio — to store your audio files, deliver them to your storefront, save your widget settings, and show you engagement statistics.
3. Third-Party Services
EcomAudio uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — Text-to-Speech generation. The script text you submit is transmitted to OpenAI to generate audio. See their privacy policy at openai.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare R2 — Secure cloud storage for your audio files.
- Shopify / WordPress — Billing, authentication, and store data access on the respective platform.
4. Data Retention
All your data, including audio files, is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling EcomAudio from your store.
5. GDPR
We comply with GDPR. No personal data from storefront visitors is collected or stored. Merchants may request full data deletion by uninstalling the app or contacting us at support@ecomaudio.com.
